33 Dreams of Indy

For every driver who straps into a race car, there’s a dream. A dream of speed, competition, and the relentless pursuit of greatness. But for a select few, that dream burns brightest when they imagine taking the green flag at The Greatest Spectacle in Racing—the Indianapolis 500.

33 Dreams of Indy isn’t just about those chasing an IndyCar career. It’s about the passion for racing in all its forms—oval or road course, dirt or asphalt, sprint cars or stock cars. It’s about the relentless pursuit of speed, strategy, and skill that defines the very best in motorsports, all with the Indy 500 as its heart and soul.

Growing up in Washington State, my introduction to Indy wasn’t through the roar of engines or the smell of ethanol—it was through the crackling sound of a radio broadcast. I would listen intently, picturing every lap in my mind, the drama unfolding turn by turn. Then, when the final 10 or 20 laps remained, I’d finally get to see the magic on television that night. That anticipation, that storytelling—it cemented my love for the sport.

In 2001, I finally got to witness the Indy 500 in person. The sound, the speed, the emotion—it was everything I imagined and more. Since then, I haven’t missed a single 500, attending over 100 IndyCar races and dozens of NASCAR events along the way.

This isn’t just about the race itself—it’s about the people behind it. The drivers risking it all. The teams engineering perfection. The strategies unfolding at 230 miles per hour.

This is 33 Dreams of Indy. The stories, the passion, the journey—one dream at a time.
